Sensory Friendly Halloween

Join us for our first Sensory Friendly Not-So-Spooky Halloween Event.

The event is free and focused for children 12 & under with autism or sensory concerns and their families.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Costumes are welcomed.  Trick or Treat Bags, Drinks & Snacks and all Activity Materials will be Provided

Volunteers from Venture include: BCBAs, LICSW, Direct Support Professionals


Themed Trick or Treat Rooms Perfect for Halloween Night Practice

  • Ring the doorbell or knock on the door
  • Rooms will be themed:  sports, superhero, under the sea, Disney Moana
  • Candy and non-candy items will be available

Scavenger Hunt to Win Prizes

  • Fill the sticker passport and return it when full for a chance to spin the prize wheel to win a goody bag

Activity Rooms with Halloween Projects

  • Make a mummy with yarn and googly eyes
  • Mask coloring station
  • Create your own Halloween scene
  • Create a spider web with a paper plate and yarn

Quiet Room if Needed

  • Comfortable bean bags for relaxing in a quiet space

Sensory Play Room

  • Stations with sensory items – make your own Halloween slime, play with pumkin spice putty, and more

Game Room

  • Takes place in the gym with candy corn bowling, pumpkin bean bag toss, photo station and more

Movie Room

  • Take a break and watch a Halloween themed movie for a bit

Break Room 

  • We will have snacks, treats and cider in our kitchen area – great spot to sit and relax.
